On December 18th, the first high-quality achievements promotion event and technological innovation technology observation event in the field of highway transportation were held in Foshan. More than 300 guests, including relevant officials from transportation departments, intellectual property experts, university researchers, and venture capital institution leaders from across the country, gathered in Shunde to participate in the grand event. During this period, the "Road Science and Technology Museum" jointly established by South China University of Technology and Huayun Tongda Technology Group Co., Ltd., with the participation of the China Highway Society as the guiding and consulting party, was officially launched in the Shunde Innovation Park of the National University Science and Technology Park of South China University of Technology. The goal is to become a leading science and technology museum in China and abroad, with significant industry characteristics, integrating road engineering science popularization, education, academia, and exhibition.

At the launching ceremony, Li Weiqing, Vice President of South China University of Technology, delivered a speech. Li Weiqing stated that the construction of the Road Science and Technology Museum is not only an important milestone in the development of South China University of Technology, but also a major event in the field of road engineering technology in China and even globally. South China University of Technology will spare no effort in providing comprehensive support in academic resources, talent cultivation, capital investment, venue and facility construction, etc., to ensure the smooth construction and successful operation of the Science and Technology Museum with high standards and quality.

A museum is like a big school. What kind of sparks will be ignited when a museum meets road technology? Professor Yu Jiangmiao, Vice Dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation at South China University of Technology and founder of Huayun Tongda Technology Group Co., Ltd., gave a detailed introduction to the construction plan and development prospects of the Road Science and Technology Museum. Yu Jiangmiao emphasized that the functional positioning of the Road Science and Technology Museum will integrate "museum, science museum, and exhibition hall" into one, and the layout will be divided into four key functional areas: exhibition area, technical and cultural area, experience area, and management area.  

With the China Highway Society as the professional partner, relying on the advantageous resources of South China University of Technology in the field of road engineering, and leveraging the solid foundation of Huayun Tongda's advanced asphalt material laboratory and related industries and technologies, we will plan at a high level, promote with high standards, and use advanced innovative methods to create a three-dimensional encyclopedia of road technology development, "said Yu Jiangmiao. After its completion, the museum will become a platform for showcasing the latest achievements and technologies in the field of road engineering, an incubator for technological innovation, a link for cultural exchange, a cradle for talent cultivation, and a center for knowledge dissemination.
