Dali Binhai Avenue is the main road connecting Dali Airport to the urban area and the ancient city. It not only undertakes the important function of cross-regional traffic, but also is a window to show its position of being an international tourism city. In order to ameliorate the coastal road environment, improve the level of transportation services, and welcome the 2023 of the China Outdoor Sports Industry Congress and the National Expert Forum of China Municipal Engineering Association, the“White to black” project is proposed to implemented on the Binhai Avenue, which is a cement concrete pavement with an area of about 49,000 square meters.

 

After undertaking the project, we organized professional and technical personnel to carry out on-site investigations for many times, combined with the road structure, the main types and states of disease, deployed the strict construction technology solutions, and adopted 1.8 cm PG100 high-toughness ultra-thin friction course. The Binhai Road reconstruction project was completed in only 3 days, creating a “Dali speed”!

23th  October

 

At 0:00 a.m. , Binhai Avenue entered into a fully enclosed construction state. The on-site manager convened the standard milling, jointing milling, seam grouting and well lifting operation team to carry out technical and safety disclosure at the first time.

On the same day, a total of more than 7000 meters of cracks were filled, 30 wells were lifted, and more than 2000 square meters of marking milling were completed.

 

24th  October

At 9:30 am, Binhai Road officially launched the paving of high-toughness and ultra-thin asphalt fricition course, of which the implementation thickness is 1.8 cm, and the the material of the adhesive layer is type 82 polymer high-viscosity modified emulsified asphalt. The process of the construction went well, with effective implementation carried on. At 16:00 pm, the leaders of the the transportation departments of 12 counties and cities in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture visited here for idea exchanges. The technical personnel gave a detailed report on the technical principle and construction process of the high toughness and ultra-thin asphalt friction course. On the same day, a total of 3000 meters of crevices were filled, 13 wells were lifted, and 1000 square meters of Mark Line were milled. Thus, the original pavement treatment of Binhai Avenue came to an end.

 

 

25th  October

At 2:30 am, the back-field technicians organized the mixing work of high toughness asphalt mixture, which was mainly to ensure the temperature accuracy and the uniformity of asphalt mixture.

At 5.30 am, the front field technicians organized the field implementation of high toughness and ultra-thin friction course, and personnel presented gave a real-time monitoring to the paving thickness, smoothness and other key indicators.

The front and back technicians closely liaised with each other to ensure that all the construction works could be carried out in an orderly manner. Thus, all works on Binhai Avenue were completed well.

 

26th  October

At 10 am, the municipal facilities management professional committee of the China Municipal Engineering Association organized experts and leaders of municipal administration departments from all over the country to visit the construction site of high toughness and ultra-thin frcition course on Binhai Avenue for exchange, Dr. Nek-kwan presented a report of the high toughness and ultra-thin friction course technology to the experts and leaders, and explained the whole process of the Binhai Avenue project in detail.

The newly paved Binhai Boulevard is like dressing itself in a new delicate black coat, connecting the beauty of Erhai Lake. Dali is a windy place. The water in Erhai Lake is always clear and blue. The surface of the water here is always floating forward, full of vitality and vigor.
